A Web Wise North build
CubeKeep.
A container storage yard in Darwen, Lancashire. We built the site, the owner runs the yard. "CubeKeep" is one of the working brand names the client is considering — he may pick a different name before launch. Preview live at cubekeep-preview.netlify.app.
The brief.
Build a site for an independent container storage yard competing against Blackburn Container Storage, Titan, and the big national chains (Safestore, Big Yellow). The pitch: no mandatory insurance, no inflationary price hikes, 24/7 drive-up access, a 12-month price lock. The site has to make that honesty the story.
What we built.
- 9 pages — home, sizes & prices, services, how it works, reviews, about, contact, terms, 404
- Pricing table for 10ft, 20ft, 40ft units with transparent monthly rates — no "from £X" games
- Honest-pricing positioning baked into copy — no mandatory insurance, no hidden fees, 12-month price lock promise
- Launch offer strip — first month £1, first 10 tenants only, visible on every page
- Contact + reservation form wired to email notifications for the yard owner
- LocalBusiness schema with Darwen postcode, opening hours, service radius
Quality gates.
- Same quality-first static build we use on our own sites — no page-builder bloat
- WCAG 2.2 AA — axe-core clean
- Schema.org validates clean in Google Rich Results Test
- Mobile-first responsive — tested at 375px and 768px
- Image-heavy hero still hits Core Web Vitals green
Tech stack.
Static HTML + CSS with a partials-based build system — the same approach we use on every Web Wise North build. No CMS, no plugins, no monthly patching bills. Deployed first to Netlify for client preview, then flipping to Cloudflare Pages on the client's own domain once sign-off is in. Editing is a git commit; every deploy is atomic.
