Terms of service.

Plain English. No legal jargon. Effective 19 April 2026. Last updated 19 April 2026.

1. Who we are.

Web Wise North is a UK-based web design service. When you see "we", "us", or "our" in these terms, that means Web Wise North. "You" or "your" means you, the customer.

2. What you're buying.

A fixed-price website build at one of three tiers (Starter £497, Standard £997, Pro £1,997). Each tier has a specific deliverable set listed on our pricing page. Optional monthly care plans (£29, £49, or £97) are available after launch.

3. The 7-day delivery guarantee.

We guarantee delivery of a working site within 7 calendar days of payment clearance, on these conditions:

  • "Working site" means: deployed to your chosen domain, all pages loading, contact form functional, Lighthouse performance score ≥90.
  • You supply required assets — photos, brand info, Google Business Profile access, copy approvals — within 48 hours of each request.
  • If you're slower than 48 hours, the 7-day clock pauses for the length of your delay. We document pauses in writing so there's no dispute.

If we miss the deadline despite your timely cooperation, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the missed deadline. "Full refund" means full — not credit, not discount. Back to your card.

4. Ownership.

From the moment your payment clears, you own:

  • Your domain name, registered in your name
  • Your hosting account (Hostinger or Cloudflare Pages, depending on the stack we agree), registered in your name
  • The source files of your site — WordPress theme and uploads, or static HTML/CSS/JS, depending on the stack we agree during onboarding
  • All copy we write for you
  • All logins for any account we set up on your behalf

We retain the right to display your finished site in our portfolio, unless you specifically ask us not to.

5. Revisions.

One round of revisions is included in every tier. A "round" means one consolidated list of changes after seeing the Day 6 preview. Additional revision rounds are billed at £75 per round.

A revision means: text changes, image swaps, colour or layout tweaks, content adjustments. It does not mean: starting over, switching to a different design direction, or adding new pages beyond the tier's scope. Those are scope changes and priced separately.

6. Scope changes.

If you ask for something outside your tier during the build — additional pages, new features, custom integrations — we'll quote separately before doing any work. No surprise invoices.

7. Care plan cancellation.

Care plans are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time with 14 days' notice before your next billing date. We don't refund the month you're in, but we don't clawback, penalise, or lock you out of your site. Your domain, hosting, and source files remain yours.

You may pause a care plan for up to 3 months per 12-month period and resume later at the same rate.

8. Content you provide.

You confirm that the photos, copy, logos, and other assets you supply are either yours to use or properly licensed. If a third party claims we've infringed their rights because of something you gave us, you agree to cover the associated costs.

9. Our liability.

If we cause you a problem, our liability to you is capped at the amount you've paid us for the service concerned (e.g. £997 for a Standard build). We're not liable for indirect losses — missed revenue, goodwill, reputational damage — that flow from a problem with your site.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for things the law says can't be limited (fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, statutory rights under UK consumer law).

10. Data.

We handle your contact details and business info per UK GDPR. We don't sell your data, don't share it with third parties except where needed to deliver the service (Stripe for payment, Cloudflare for hosting). Full privacy details at /privacy (available post-launch).

11. Changes to these terms.

If we update these terms, the changes apply to work booked after the update. Existing projects run under the terms that were live when you paid.

12. UK law.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

13. Contact.

Questions, disputes, or requests — email hello@webwisenorth.co.uk. We reply within one working day.
