A panelled first-floor room over the orchard with the largest of the original fireplaces and a deep slipper bath in the dressing room. The view runs down the dale toward Bainbridge.

Six rooms in this style, each subtly different. Painted timber panelling in deep forest, a king-sized bed with brass details and a tall sash window opening onto the rear garden or the cobbled square.

Two attic-set rooms under the original timber roof, with a freestanding claw-foot bath in the corner and bare oak floors. Low under the eaves; the favourite of returning walkers.
Two-course breakfast in the morning room from 8am, freshly baked pastries from the village bakery, and coffee from the kitchen until 10am. We do not take a service charge.
